N.W. Ohio | Our left over seedcorn has always been stored thru the freezing winters. I actually never even thought about bringing it into a heated building. I always just sprinkle it over the top of all the rows in the planter, mid-season when I am planting that same variety the next year, or in some odd ball field if I no longer use that variety. My concern would be about finishing up with it at the end of season, seems like you could potentially keep carrying some of the same seed over from year to year? Maybe would make no difference, but not sure I would want to count on the germ holding good for numerous years. | |
