You can get a Generic SIM (Signal Input Module) kit, that will allow you to map and control more functions than the Ez-Remote can. You can use this to wire your own switches in.
I have also heard of someone pulling an Ez-Remote apart and soldering a couple of wires onto one of the push button switches in the Ez-Remote. Ez-Remote can then be hidden out of sight.
