MN | We have both of those types here. One owns/rents several 100 acres around us, yet lives over 10 miles away and is a "big dealer" Another is also pretty "big dealer" but seems to make a nice living off the seed and his family's half section. #2 Says he doesn't want more land because he respects his customers, even has a son that would probably like to start farming. #2 guy is very helpful, always comes out to weigh at harvest and is either in the yard or has his wife in the yard in the spring. I'm not too excited about doing business with a guy like #1 but do quite a little with #2. | |
