futures vs cash: futures are part of the casino games and often don't make sense. Folks who have never been within 50 ft of a steer are "taking cash off the table" and you pay the price if you play that game.  Same with hogs. Big run up, time to take "their" profits. No relation to the real world. Just betting against the guy in the office down the hallway.

A lot like the stock market these days, earnings go up and the stock price goes down...20 something year old "analysts" comments cause more movement in price than actual company performance. Companies that have never made a dime sell IPOs for hundreds of millions...

The cash market is the real market.
