Yes contradiction because times change, for everyone.

The farmer thinks he can pay for seed n fert in October, then complains if I want to be paid in February.? It all comes down to demand, there are enough greedy sob's out there willing to pay all up front.

Also, if I'm cash renting, I'm don't get/need a crop. I will share crop if I want to help a guy out, or want to worry about the crop.
