If regulations are so expensive why do the large seed companies push new more expensive varieties so hard? Seems to me they could make more money selling a 5 year old variety at a cheaper price that does well for a lot of people, and not have to fight regulators so hard all the time.
Or maybe they come up with excuses that regulations are very expensive and that is why they are able to price new corn varieties high? When in reality they price it high on an excuse and not actual costs?
