South Central Wisconsin | We sell seed as well. For a long time 80-90 % of our seed was picked up. Over the last 10 or 11 years it's shifted to approximately 75 % of the corn is delivered and 50/50 on beans. We pool corn in whatever manner the customer likes. We have customers that want their corn stacked by individual farms ,some will take full skids and divide it themselves ,we stack some by maturities ,refuge on top, etc....We look at bag weight and seed size, when we know that a woman or older man is going to have to handle the bags, we try and keep bag weights down, without affecting plantability. My point is, we try to make the customer happy, on the things , we can control. My 2 cents. | |
