Southern Illinois | I know of a situation around here not too long ago. Farmer died of cancer in the summer and another farmer (almost a BTO and very aggressive) who had hoped to rent all of the land organized for the neighbors to help with harvest. It couldn't have worked out better. The neighbors and friends helped get the crop off and the guys that organized the whole thing wound up with all of the acres. Most thought that it would have been split up at least between 3 or 4 farmers considering it was well over 1,000 acres. | |
