Illinois | I am 38 and listen carefully all the time to the next oldest generation. I also was always told to find something other than farming when I was in school, but keep in mind much of that time was in the 1980's. So far I'm glad I didn't follow that advice. Listening and heeding advice from those who have seen all the cycles in agriculture is so important. Many my age and mostly younger have their only farming experiences during a time when you almost had to try to not make money. That is going to be a real problem for this generation in the next several years, starting about now. | |
