Amherst WI | I'd like to see where those kinds of margins are made other than propriatary products, fufu dusts and pop ups. Seed and chems is more like 5% on the retailer end.
I can see both sides of it since I've been there. Most of those guys mad because stuff isn't there when they wanted it to be is becasue they waited till the last minute to order it and seem to think they are the only customer that the retailer has.
Then the farmer says get more ____________ so it gets here on time. That will raise the cost of the goods and then they forget about service when it comes time to prepay/order stuff again and price is the only factor.
If the farmer would invest in some tanks or a slab of concrete in the shed he could have all their fertilizer ready to go when everyone else is waiting for their stuff. | |
