Personally, I HATE the fertilizer and chemical mans, program gimmicks, points and trip games....But I suppose they are more fun when you are one who can always qualify for them. So far, I have yet to get a free trip or part of one from anyone ....
That pre pay seed money goes somewhere...Someone has it......Not just out into space. Id guess the prepay idea is used to determine which varieties need to be packaged as much as anything. But the money paid up front keeps it in place and funds something or another somewhere.
