We have used a single row brillion roller with smooth wheels both in front of and behind the seeder,anything to reduce clod size and firm the top surface. Now use a Brillion cultimulcher twice before planting(with the brillion seeder or a 750 drill). Have been known to use the seeder as a pre-roller also(go over twice with seed on the second pass.
