When I read ALMOST DOABLE, that alone would be my deciding factor. On our clay soil here it is bad enough to plant when ground is un-fit. Throw in a couple inches of rain right after it is planted and it would be a true disaster here. Your soils are probably a lot different, but I know I would wait.
