Jefferson, SD		I'm doing the same exercise. We have less than 25 acres so no big scale issue.

I like to figure out what is easy to sell however, the last few years pure alfalfa has been 25-50% more valuable than anything else.

We decided to grow the most valuable by the pound crop as we don't think ton's per acre will be significantly different.
