Subject: RE: Oil well drillers mud

Caldwell County, TX
One of my cousins had a driller dump the fluid on a cotton field NW of Big Spring in the middle of the night without approval. Soil in the flow path is now VERY saline and has high ppm of heavy metals (arsenic barium and a noticeable amount of chromium) compared to any soil around it. Also some places are entirely bentonite, making infiltration almost zero. Was only about 2 acres, and the money coming out of that now completed well kind of offset any frustration my cousin had at the time.
