Subject: RE: 15" corn ?

We tried some 15" corn one year, around 100 ac. Later we switched to 20s but after 3 years we switched back to 30s. Our experience with 20s was more production cost, lots of down corn, & lower yields. We have no regretts going back to 30" corn. We're not the only ones in our area to switch back to 30s after planting 20s. Try planting some strips of 15" corn see how you get along. I don't know what pops you are running in 30s but I would suggest trying some plots at higher pops. We're running upper 30s, low 40s on our good ground, same as we did in 20s. For some reason don't see the down corn at those rates in 30s that we did in 20s.
