Wallis, TX

Here it's the Attwater Prairie Chicken. I live less than 20 miles from the Federal Refuge.  I'm 54 and I've only seen ONE in my entire life.  And,,,,,, that one was 30 years ago at the MIL's house which is only 5-6 miles from the refuge.  The gubbernment has spent millions there, leased additional ranch land only to have predators eat the eggs and babies.  Do they control the predators?  NO, only catch and release.  So,,,,,, all the coyote has to do is remember how to get back there and he can have more free lunches. The 'officials' there 'unofficially' tell the locals to kill all the skunks, 'yotes & snakes because they can't.  All in all, its just a BIG waste of taxpayer money.
