 West Tennessee | You could change the sending unit just to see what happens. We did that on a 4440 one time and it still works fine today (15 years later). My Grandad would not be happy with this repair procedure but we find it cheaper than labor looking for a problem quite often. You could also try and find the ohm readings the sensor is supposed to put out at certain pressures and see if it appears to be functioning correctly with an ohm meter. This "should" be in the repair manual. Myself I'd change the sending unit/sensor first because I'm lazy. :-) Good luck to you. | |
