Not to much to choose from. I'm not sure if there still are govt trials but they never proved much anyway.
Last year we used a varitiy called Oscar. White oat, maybe a bit too much straw so it does not need too much N. Sprayed it with folicur and made 42 lbs per bu. Had to dry it though as the straw was fairly green.
The 2 previous years we used a variety called Lachute. I really iked them but for some reason were removed from the market.
You need to find a knowledgeable seed guy that can advise you. What works for me might not work for you because of soil type, management etc.
