Subject: SureStops on 1760NT w/ pneumatic downpressure

Appomattox/Fredericksburg, VA
Anyone have any insight on installing SureStops on a 1760NT Deere with pneumatic downpressure (single bag) and frame mounted no till coulters?

The first problem we ran into was drilling the template for the clutch itself. The meter drive sprocket has two holes that it can mount to the row unit with. The way it was mounted left the bracket in the way of mounting the clutch. But if we move it to the other hole, the meter will not align with the drive sprocket.

Customer called and said now after he ground the downpressure frame like instructed, there is interference with the frame mounted coulter mount now. Talked to tech support and they said he could grind on that one too which I'd hate to do or the chain can run 3/8" off true and still be ok.

Can anyone shed some light on these problems. I told him the install was pretty simple but now that's making a liar out of me. Install on my Kinze was simple....but this is turning into something else.

Thanks for the help!
