Subject: RE: feed bunk cable

Eastern Iowa
I've found that hardened guy wire cable, like the stuff #0 power line is wrapped around in overhead electrical applications, is the longest lasting cable for bunks. Sort of a pain to work with, but doesn't fray nearly as quickly. Tension with an eye bolt and a spring off an old baler tensioning arm on the back side of the post/wall. 6 inches of spring is usually plenty.
