I'm far from an expert but have ran one for a few years on a 4wd. First ran the receiver on the front of the cab and had little wiggles all the way across the field. Moved it to the very front of the hood and it drove a much straighter line. At the very least I would have the receiver directly over the centerline of the front axle. I also referred to JDBrians posts for tuning it also. Good luck.
