| You can use the RTK262 with Ez-Steer on an Ez-Guide 500, but the FM1000 can only use its internal receiver with Ez-Steer. To do this, ask your dealer for a Power/Data cable, which has a cigarette plug on it for power, and a 9 pin serial connector, that will plug directly into the back of the 500. They will autoconfigure and talk to each other when you power them up.
This can be done with 252 & 262 receivers, but not the newer 372.
If you had an Autopilot system, you could use an external receiver with an FM/1000, but not with an Ez-Guide 500. | |
