What i like to do is compare different situations. For instance after planting the corn i will put a sensor in the seed row and one inbetween the row to compare the soil temperatures. Some times i will use those soil temperatures to calculate the gdd`s to see how long it takes the corn to emerge comparing the two. Also use the air temperatures to compare the stages of growth.
