Wife was an RN for many years.   She never assisted on any vass's but the nurses talked among themselves.   One guy came in and the nurse doing the prep work apparently did way too good a job.   The poor guy, somewhat embarrassed said "You don't have to hold it up any more, it can stand by itself".

Why would you want to be put under and miss out on the fun?
