I thought they needed juicing up to make a good heat detector!
All I know is I always keep the freemartins in with the heifers I'm breeding and some are really good at heat detecting. Around 10% of the freemartins are supposed to breed so I always try but have never been successful. Had one born yesterday so we'll see next year. I probably average about one freemartin a year.
