Faunsdale, AL | Do Freemartin heifers show heats? I guess I have never thought about that or noticed.
If you look at the vulva and teats of a freemartin, they are usually much smaller than other heifers of similar age. The vulva also will have some very coarse hairs compared to other heifers. If she has had any implants etc, she may no longer exhibit the same external characteristics as a "normal" freemartin.
Put on a sleeve, if you know what you're feeling for, there will be almost no reproductive tract in there. | |
