I have an Aitchison, can't say I would recommend it over a Great Plains or Deere, or even a Haybuster, all of which I can and do rent locally. I have had problems clearing even the least amount of residue through my Aitchison. I have the coulter setup with it, but it still trashes up pretty easily. The seed metering is excellent on the Aitchison, but that is only half the chore, you still have to get the seed into the ground evenly. I like all the above mentioned drills, probably like the GP the best, because of the coulter plus opener versus the other two having only the opener, single or double, respective to brand. The GP is also the only one mentioned that is an end-wheel drill, and is easier for me to get backed into corners and in and out of tight laneways.
