The larger boom I just put on and took off when I had 30 inch row beans.
Was a pain to go down the road because it did not fold.

I don't even use it anymore. The shorter boom is great for spraying driveways and field edges as you know it covers the width of the 4 wheeler. Can drive right along the edge that way and do a great job. 

I started with the boomless nozzle for spring yard & ditch spraying. the big boom was too hard to manage around obstructions, on slopes and had no breakaway feature.

I could spray around buildings, trees with short boom and then in wide open spaces cover a lot more ground quickly with the boomless deal and not be worried about snagging it on a tree or pole.

Already had the twin pump setup from the large boom just decided to make use of them in this way.
