| Trimble Ag use CMR+. CMRx is used in the construction industry and is only available on the 542, as it is a "left-over" (something they forgot to lock-down), when they sold the 542 bases with limited functionality to the Ag Industry.
If you are concerned about the heat on your radio, Trimble make a fan kit for it, or you can use an external fan. If that radio gets too hot, it will simply derate its output power.
I doubt you will ever see CMRx on Ag Products. Most people would have been happier seeing them leave the RTCM3 output unlocked, instead of the CMRx, which no one uses anyway. | |
