Also had few questions on setup of the direct command. I entered pulses per gallon which was 74 in my case. But i didn't enter anything for the Fast valve and anything else really. Does it just figure it out or did i miss something? Will that fast valve close when both sections close like raven 440 will or not, seemed like it stayed set where i manually set it today.
Thanks in advance.
Apparently you have the Single Valve NH3 system. On a Raven 440 you would choose Fast Close for the Valve type. This changes the behavior of the system so that shutting off the boom sections either with the master or all section switches causes the Fast Close control valve to go to full decrease to stop product flow. You also needed to enter the valve cal of 743 or the like to change the behavior of the control circuit.
The same type of thing needs to be done with your Integra. There is a menu entry somewhere under the controller setup that will allow you to indicate that you want the control valve to close with a zero rate or when the sections are all OFF. You will need to indicate this or the control valve will stay put as you have noticed. It should go fully closed when the Master or section switches are turned OFF. If you turn the Master and your section switches back ON, the control valve will stay closed without any speed. If you switch to manual you should be able to bump the control valve Open and Closed.
Another thing that needs to be changed is the valve response characteristics. Page 220 in my Integra manual gives the suggested settings for various situations. I forget the settings for your Fast Valve but they are listed in the table. These settings default to settings that would be appropriate for many sprayers and an NH3 system with the standard control valve. The standard control valves typically take 8 seconds to cycle from fully closed to fully open. This is because there is a gear case that uses several gears to slow the speed down considerably. This 8 second interval works well for most situations.
Your Fast Close valve does not have this gearing so that it can close quickly when it needs to stop the flow entirely. This means that a very short shot of electricity is needed in normal operation to change the rate. If you do not change the valve response characteristics and leave them at the default, the corrective pulses will be too extreme and the system will likely hunt above and below the desired target rate. By using the suggested values for Response 1 and Response 2, the control circuit is numbed down to work better with your valve.
