Subject: Best tablet for SMS mobile ?

Looking to start scouting and soil sampling with SMS mobile on a tablet. I am looking for a 4G enabled windows 8 tablet with GPS. The only tablet I can come up with is the Lenovo ThinkPad 2. They seem really hard to get and the reviews aren't the greatest. Wondering what is working for others? TIA
