Why are you trying to re-install the ez-boom firmware? The hard reset only affects the 500 not the ez-boom. As long as the 500 recognizes the ez-boom when you connect it you can see what version the ez-boom has on it and it shouldn't have been affected by the 500 problems. Good luck.
