MO | I know I'm a deere soundgaurd cab hatin SOB, but they are only going to cost 30K to fix if you take it to a dealer and just turn them loose on it. My 4850 shelled the tranny 2 years ago, main powershaft exploded and destroyed a couple clutch pack housings and the PTO driveshaft. Major damage...total bill was just under 10K at a private shop. And we replaced every clutch disk in it since we was there, including PTO clutches. Don't be scared of $30K horror stories. Mine has 9XXX hours on it, motor has never been touched other than a water pump (there is a STUPID deere design) and runs like a top. | |
