After setting up an AB line you and can hit the II button on the left side to start painting the area you've covered yellow. Then you can hit the I button on the left side to prompt the "i menu" and the area covered should be in there. It will only record area when it's painting yellow. Forgive my crude explantation, but that's the only way I know how to expelling it. Hope it helps.
