| Looking for thoughts on GPS. RTK is not an option as I'm attempting to prove effectiveness without a large investment. I need the best fit for operating variable rate on the planter using field prescriptions (with option to add aftermarket auto steer). It's a JD tractor, JD planter and Precision 20/20 w/ row flow. I also want to take the system off the planter tractor and put it onto a 2388 in the fall with an AgLeader factory installed yield monitor in order to start mapping. The budget can possibly get to $3000, but used is most likely going to be less, so the less expensive (not cheap), the better. WAAS isn't accurate enough as I have run it and it has too much of a mind of it's own. | |
