Subject: RE: Getting GPS signal from a Pro 700 to an Ag Leader Insight

Missouri
I passed that part number on to my customer, who later got back to me and said his Case dealer said there is a substantial backorder on that part number...likely to be longer than we can wait.

Plan A I am going to pitch is going to be to order the Ag Express cable. If he can't wait that long, there will be plan B.

The customer's original machine this stuff came from had a trimble autopilot. He says he has a cable from that which connects to the GPS port on the Ag Leader harness, and has a 12 pin deutsch connector on the other end, just like the diagnostic port on the tractor/navII, except for the fact it is identically gendered, so it will not plug in. He is asking me about the possibility of adapting that cable to plug in. It should be all I have to do is change the pins to sockets, and change the deutsch female receptacle to a male plug.

Do you know the pinout of this connector? I haven't built a serial cable before, but my understanding is I should only need 3 wires, transmit, receive, and ground, right?
