Mail normally works to transport files but for other applications I use DropBox. It's one of those apps that just works. You can have it on Mac's, PC's, iPhones, iPads, Droids most anything you want. Free acct has 2 or 5 gig, can't remember, you can move a lot of stuff simple and quick.
