NE ND | I actually have a 5020 service manual. Just looking in it now. It mentions the sending unit should measure 210 ohms at empty tank, 100 ohms half full, 0 ohms with a full tank.
First question, is your mutli-meter digital?
Second, if so, when you touch your leads together, without your fingertips touching the leads, you should have about .1-.3 ohms as your simply measuring the resistance in the leads, which is nearly perfect continuity.
