As Ag continues to evolve and with all the injection of higher tech options be it seed, VRT, Precision, etc....what do you think the new ag sales person would possess in skills compared to what we work with now? Would it mean more or less to you if he was an expert in precision ag and would you want him/her to be on the bleeding edge of technology? Do only expect him/her to know their seed and leave the rest to you? Or wold it be of value to you for that person to kow how their genetics interact/respond to diff soils and fertility and such? Just asking as we all need to look forward and I think it is time growers get in the drivers seat and give input to all in the ag industry of what we need and not sit back and drink the kool-aid.

I don't need them to be a precision expert, I've got guys for that. I won't likely share much of my data with you anyway. I'm low maintenance, send the seed on a semi and I unload it, I'll call you if I need something (not likely). Of course the seed has to perform or you won't sell me anything. Know your product and sell it for less than everybody else. Price is much more important than extra services that I don't need from my seed guy anyway.
