USA | Pfarms, you pretty much describe how I am buying seed corn now. Buy from two different sources. One is direct with the company. Tell them what I want , cut the check , they ship the corn. Is bought on a no return basis. Other is bought through a dealer on the same terms.
Something that was done different this year with the direct source is agreed to a two year deal and have already agreed to price and terms for 2015. My guess there will be more seed companies in the future trying to get seed sales locked in for more than one year @ a time.
