location | Try AGIS by Delta Data Systems if you want speed for analytics. They have great software and bad marketing....but well worth the effort to use.
And to precision Ag data In general why is it with XML and FODM and any other recent creations nothing still works as well as good old txt data with a header line describing the data values.
Call me old school but in comes down to tight written code and straight forward data files of latitude, longitude, data1, data2, data3, etc.....
I submit AgLeader's old advanced txt file as an example that even AgLeader has "abandoned" .......but yet as an example AGIS and I am sure other software can make a great yield map with that in seconds. This same general approach also applies to other data layers as well.
The last thing the industry needs is unnecessary overhead describing data.
