Good points and finally hybrid issues came up again. New techniques and technologies are great but I still hear everyone saying it is all about proper calibrations....but then it can break down when you start on a new hybrid. Do you recal again? If the "upside down scale" fixes that well great....but early on I called PP and they stated something about their database of hybrids adjusts for hybrid issues...?

Ok....and then that will get better with the cloud connection?...but I have heard farmers starting to change hybrid names to stay "private"....Ok again.......Speaking of hybrid databases and the calibrations falling apart by hybrids...so much for seed company statisiics being solid when they are done with yield monitors instead of scales. Garbage in garbage out in the absolute for making hybrid selections for next year. That said yield monitors do a great job of showing spatial differences in the relative within the same hybrid.

So again....how about the industry better facilitate post calibration processes by hybrid to real life scale values and improve the whole process. Maybe some fine day the elevator will buy my crop based on my new and improved yield monitor data but I doubt it.
