ecmn | right now I can go to any brand seed dealer in the area and the dealer can tell me what works for there brand in the area for my farm.
i think its up to me to learn fertility, population that works best in the long run, maturity, its my crop i better know all of my system. i want to be able to tell them what i want for a hybrid and have them give me a list to chose from.
i really like pioneers website. put in your zipcode and it gives you a list of hybrids for your area. then you can look at them hybrids to see what ones work in your soil and planting conditions.
I want them to know how the hybrids react to population and soil types. that will help me make decisions of how I want to treat that hybrid.
there are agronomists that can help me decide on variable rate plans, fertility and everything else.
