Eastern Nebraska | There are several things to consider here. First, SeedStar 2 refers to the type of controller on the planter itself. You had SeedStar, SeedStar 2 and SeedStar XP. XP being the most recent. The controller is then viewed through a display like a brown box, 2600, 2630 etc. First you need to look at the age of the planter, because you may need to completely re-wire the planter if upgrading to a SeedStar 2 planter, which can get costly (I don't have the figures, because I'm not a salesman, but I work with the Deere precision). If it costs too much to upgrade to SeedStar 2, then it may not be worth it. | |
