NW IL | How was it backing that wagon on just right? haha
To the OP, those hydraulic tails are nice if you can sacrifice the extra weight. For some that is a no go.
We bought a new 30' last spring. We decided against the hydraulic tail mainly for the cost. Ours is a Mustang. (used to be locally made in Iowa, but were bought out, still made the same, but made by Trailerman in Missouri now... bought it from Roeder Bros in Bellevue, IA roederbrosinc.com
I ordered a few options for ours.
We went with the two fold over ramps, and the pop up center. I did not want the 3 rear ramps because thats one more ramp to throw when 90% of the time you don't need it, also the 3 ramp setups leave space between the ramps and I wanted a flat deck on the tail with minimal gaps. For the 10% of the time when you need that 3rd ramp, We had them build a carrier and have a slide in ramp that is behind the axles on the right side... Works great...
Also ordered a piece of channel in the neck for a winch mount, and a sliding ratchet rail with 4" ratchets on the left side.... (my favorite option).
These options added to the cost a little more then I was expecting, but after using it they are worth every penny to me. | |
