East Central Indiana | I just came across some old info I had on this. Seedstar 2 refers to the monitor basically. A Seedstar2 planter can be viewed on a GS2 (1800, 2600) or newer display. 2009 and newer planters are generally SS2 and are compatible with RowCommand and are ISO compliant. It has a green wedgebox. If a newer planter has a black wedgebox is should be Seedstar XP.
A planter that is Seedstar Gen 2 is the next version older. This is "Planter at a Glance". It can be run on a Original Greenstar display or on the OGD emulation mode on a GS2/3, etc. Its wedgebox is gray. '03 or '04 thru 2009.
The next older version is Seedstar Gen 1. 2000 thru '03 or '04. Also grey wedgebox. 2.5V or older 4/5V systems. Can not run on GS2/3, only OGD.
