| I think have this worked out. Maybe.
If you select the 'farm' with the fields, then select 'create new map', then 'file', 'new', 'new boundary layer', 'edit', 'copy from layer', 'next', 'next', 'finish', 'file save as', select grower, select farm, and 'create a new field name', DONE!
Now I can have one big field with them grouped together, or leave the individual 4 fields. I can also delete the 4 fields from the management tree and the one big field is still intact.
