Central Ohio | I am an SMS newbie but I have a thought. Will this work?
Go file-new- operations data set or what ever it is called. Then crear your new field under the right farm. Use a generic place holding operation that you can delete later.
Then If you click on farm and it displays all the boundaries for the 4 fields at the same time and the create new map. When you go to edit layer will all four show up in the edit layer box together? If so select set As field boundary and choose the new field you created above.
