Mid-Michigan | My dad is 83 and still at it. We farm together. He has the majority of the ground (I have 300 of my own and rent a little). He owes no one anything. After a lifetime of him working his rear off (his dad died when he was 15, nothing was given to him), it is really cool to see him enjoy it. I make most of the management decisions but he very much is a partner. He wants out in a year but I very much enjoy our partnership and am no way trying to strong arm my dad into selling me the farm before he is ready. | |
